The Golden Nose on the Seneca Lake Wine Trail

Calling all wine judges, novice and veterans to participate in the Golden Nose: A Wine Judging Weekend. Spend the weekend tasting the region's finest wines. Saturday is the main event and will be hosted by the world-renowned Corning Museum of Glass.
This is a unique opportunity for a select few participants to experience an exciting weekend of wine. Learn from regional professionals how to professionally taste and judge wine. Then go on to be a Wine Judge and, with your fellow Judges, select those winning wines produced in the Finger Lakes Appellation. It could be a Riesling, a Merlot or a Chardonnay. Right now, no one knows. We are offering a limited opportunity for you to help us select the winner. You will scrutinize the nose, the legs, the palette, the color, the opacity - all the elements that shape a truly fine wine.
To take part you do not have to be a knowledgeable wine taster. You merely have to love wine, appreciate quality, be fair minded and have a desire to learn time-honored new skills.

"The Grapehound Wine Tour" a Greyhound Gathering
The Cayuga Wine Trail is hosting it's second Greyhound Gathering for a celelbration of greyhound adoption. Each human participant will receive a commemorative Greyhound wine glass and enjoy wine tastings and food pairings. Each greyhound will receive doggie treats and partake in an ice cream social.
Participants will be eligible to win an over night stay at the Inn at the Finger Lakes in Auburn. In addition there will be doggie vendors and an Adopt-a-Greyhound booths at each winery. This event is welcome to all dog owners or non dog owners but inclusive only to greyhounds but if you have a pet at home we'll be happy to give you a doggie treat to take home with you.
Ticket price is $25.00 per person with a portion of every ticket sold, donated to the Greyhound Adoption Agencies in the area. Tickets can also be purchased at any Wegmans store at the That's the Ticket counter, so come and visit us during our sultry dog days of summer.
